Ive heard alot of good about the ed nine.1. 1200watts @ 1 ohm. Also noticed that they are $295 shipped.

Hifonics really isnt a bad brand. I probably wouldn't mess with their subs, but their amps are reliable enough to justify the price.

I have a 1206bx, idk if its the bxi or not right now, but its running solid two ohms pounding a 15 to death in my trunk.

As with any amp, if you treat it correctly, its not going to die on you. Generally amps are only as good as the owner running them. Dont crank your gain to distortion and clipping and your home free. Also keep ur voltage high enough to run it.

The PDX's are great looking amps, but they seem too expensive to me. near 500 for 1000watts just really isnt that solid of a deal. The small footprint is nice, but if ur looking to save some cash u can get alot more power from a hifonics amp.

So thats my 2 cents. that i have a refurbed hifonics amp an it works fine.

if you go with a ed, you would want the dual 4ohm modelss so you could wire them to 1 ohm and i believ you can order off their website.

I havent heard too many bad things about the hifonics amps except that they are somewhat underrated

Kickers are hawt *** amps IMO, and I've loved the one's i've had.

People on here like sundown, and from the specs i've read their solid.

I was just tryin to get this guy some power in his budget. Idk sundown prices, but kicker amps are generally a bit more in price than hifonics.

But if he could find a deal on a kicker amp, i'd hop on it.

sundown is defently the best one mentioned here - they're sexy lookin too but not the cheapest but well worth the money

yea cuz im looking in the $300-400 range.

I have always heard when i started my research that kicker was always good, but are very expensive. Thats why i am really considering the ed nine, but i dont know much about sundown.

Here you go: Kicker ZX1000.1 for $290 (or the ZX1500.1 for $380).

They're factory refurbs, but HFSC is an authorized dealer so if anything goes wrong, you just call up and ship it right to Kicker. There's been a bit of decent feedback with those refurbs.
