Anything better than the Dayton ultimax 10" for 159.99??

These things model extremely well in an isobaric parallel 6th order 1ft³ at 28hz and .75ft³ at 55hz. That makes for an extremely flat response 30-65hz. This box is over 4cubes externally though

Pretty sure I'm gonna try and build that box for a pair. Its been a while since I've done isobaric and it'll be my first 6th order.

They model well in regular ported alignments as well. Nvx picked the right box sizes from what I've found 1.5 for ported and .7 for sealed.

Sounds good man! I’ll definitely buy a 12” when/if they come out

I know it's expensive but the stereo integrity sql is a beast for it's namesake. The nvx look dn good for the money and I think I'm gonna try a console box over going back under my rear seats. Hopefully that let's me keep the sound up front and have dramatic upper bass and lower midbass. I'm likely gonna go with the stereo integrity tm8s when they release next year. If I can figure out a solid way to modify my doors

I was going to try the si sql. I built a box for it and all. After chatting with nick, I found out my box wasn’t compatible. Therefore, I made a 3rd baffle and went with the American bass xfl 10.
And that sounds good as far as your plan for a build. Pics please, lol. I like to see any build for a truck.

I just designed out the isobaric 6th order which with such small chambers and long ports it was a challenge. The low end port was like 62.5 inch long for a 12.5×1.5 port and the high side was 19.5 using the same port area. Ended up with a dead spring chamber in the middle 1.5inch wide just to get the mounting depth for the motor vent to breath.

on paper it looks great and stays within 3db from 30hz to 65hz with the top end being slightly louder. Should work well with cabin gain. My mids cross at 60ish hz so the hand off should go pretty good.

this will be my 1st 6th order and it might sound good or it might sound like ass idk but experimenting is what I want to do. Probably gonna go full mdf this time. Its heavy but it routes much nicer than pine or birch.

i also plan on attaching a 1.5inch foam on top wrapped in fake leather to be an arm rest. And figure something out for the cup holders. Damn 4wd shifter on the floor makes things difficult.

Wow, this sounds like a great project. Definitely would like to see this. I like the arm rest idea.
im going to come up with something with my Design and take a part of it to a local upholstery shop to incorporate o soft arm rest, that’s if I don’t come up with something myself. And yep, that shifter is a burden, lol. Gotta be creative to come up with something and work around that!

A basic arm rest should be realatively easy to make a piece of 1/2 inch wood with foam on tot and the vinyl folded or stitched into a block and stapled to the wood. Then that wood attached by nutserts or simply screws, possibly even meo magnets or Velcro. I've got some industrial Velcro that damn near hurts you trying to separate it.

Dayton ultimax 10 is a decent sub. One of the better sealed 10s I’ve used recently. I’d go a different route in a ported setup, but I’d run a Dayton ultimax 10 sealed any day.

How much space did you give them sealed?

I'm tempted to buy a pair and use them to anchor some 3 way active speakers for my garage.

Helping a friend pick out some subs. thought about the ultimax 10" since they are on sale for 159.99 they also got the MX10-22 on sale for 111.98.

This will be ported in a small SUV with about 1200rms on tap.

He wants sound quality but with balls is there other subs that should be considered at this price point?
Ive been looking at amarican bass xd 1222 or 1244 ,and sundowns e series, they both seem very good , can't verify sound quality tho but I know they pound hard and can take power
