Anyone work at Circuit City?

heres how it works:
You earn 1 point for every 15 minutes that you are installing something.

Lets take a h/u for example. Circuit city has determined that a h/u takes 1.5 hours to install, therefore it is worth 6 points. Similarly, an amplifier takes 3 hours, so 12 points.

So If you work an 8-hour day, you have to earn 32 points to meet your expected labor percentage for that day. If you install enough stuff to earn 36 points, you made 105% of your expected productivity. If you do that all month long, and you end up at 105% for the month, and the team ends up at 95% or above, you get a bonus.

It's 2 points every 15 minutes...h/u is supposed to be 45min, therefore 6 points...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Right concept, though...

There's a chart that I have at work...the shop has to get at least 95% to budget, and you have to personally get at least 95% to budget. That will give you $1.00/he extra for every hour you worked for the month.

The max you can get is $3.55/hr, which would require the shop to do 125%+ and you personally to do 150%+.

wow 1.5 hours for a h/u thats like forever....circuit city must have low standards or somethin cuz on factory to upgraded h/u it takes like what 15 minutes, 30 tops?
Trust me if the right car comes in you can be screwed and it can take like 2hours to install a h/u. My moms TL took a while to figure out but I'm not an installer so idk. J man my wires should be in soon and i'll hook everything up so we can have a little demo.

Ever do a radio in a mid 90's Cavalier?

It's supposed to take 45 minutes.

Something like a 92 Ford Taurus rolls up, I'm done in less then 5 minutes...something like a Cavalier comes in, takes me an hour.

Break? What is that?
Haven't taken a break in months. Work 5 days a week, 3 of them are 11-9 shifts. We rarely have 2 installers in at the same time...I'd say 90% of the time I'm there I'm the only installer.

Our budgets aren't that crazy though, around $300 for a weekday/Sunday and around $500 on Saturday.
Uh...not sure about the laws there, L&I, but here its required at least a 10 min break for every 3 or so hrs worked in a day. You may wanna check into that.

I know the laws regarding it...but I don't take breaks.

well maybe he is just not broadly experienced, in my 97 cougar i can swap in a deck in about 15 mins. the original deck to aftermarket took about the same, and the switch from one old pioneer to my 880prs took ~5 minutes, used the same sleeve and all (can). My sister's 92 cavalier took about 25, but still that aint that bad.
