i hated sales. installers for teh win.
but, if your bosses **** and your store (like all others do im sure) runs a skeleton crew with JUST enough employees to cover each week, you have to get people to cover your lunches every day and you bust your *** to earn bonus.
its definatly not as cracked up as its made out to be //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
Wow.Break? What is that?
Haven't taken a break in months. Work 5 days a week, 3 of them are 11-9 shifts. We rarely have 2 installers in at the same time...I'd say 90% of the time I'm there I'm the only installer.
Our budgets aren't that crazy though, around $300 for a weekday/Sunday and around $500 on Saturday.
Wow. We have been about -9hours for the past few weeks. We have 3FT and 1PT installer at the moment... but one of the FT guys just accepted the assistant S&I position. Supposedly they might hire another PT installer, but that might now take place until I go back to school //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.We're a big location, but don't have much traffic. We're REALLY good at squeezing more money out of installs...we charge for EVERYTHING, it's what we have to do to make budget. We also have the biggest shop on Long Island...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
But there are 2 FT/1PT installers, 2 PT sales, an S&I and an assistant S&I
Install is budgeted for around 120 hrs/week...we use around 90/wk (they changed the bonus structure for S&I's so they get more bonus for coming in under budget hours).
