Anyone use Creatine???

hey ryan, another question, what do you think about creatine ethyl ester, and have you ever tried it? I seem to respond better to it than monohydrate.
i dont know. i read online something about gyno issues from it so ive always stayed away from it. it could just be a myth, but why risk it. creatine mono works great for me.

well I posted this thread because of 2 or 3 days of feeling bloated; I took one of my normal workout days off to rest through it 2 nights ago, and still felt bloated, so I worked out last night anyways despite the bloated feeling and it went away for a few hours after the workout... I went to sleep, and woke up today feeling just as bloated all over again. I will be taking the creatine again today (10 g) and seeing how today works out for me... Might be giving up on this monohydrate time though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

And to everyone offering advice thanks! Greatly appreciated. And to the person who said "fvck GNC"; may I ask why you say that? Where I'm at GNC is the only store within 30 minutes from where I live so it's really an only choice for me. I actually haven't used GNC brand products before and picked the other brands in their store... but why would they be any worse? do they have a bad rep or something?

GNC is a complete ripoff. order online....bodybuilding.com FTW. WAAAAY cheaper too.

id drop down to 5g. 5g is matainence anyways and theres no need to front load creatine.

if you can find the link with that please post it. I'm trying to search around for some info on CEE and gyno it but can't find any.

I advise against using Creatine. I used it before and highly regret it. Not only did I break out on my shoulders and chest and need to get special pills to make that go away, but it messed with my kidneys. They had a higher creatine content in them and kidney's are not something to be messed with. I'd recommend sticking to eating properly, several small meals throughout the day, doing cardio, and working out without the additives and whatnot. Although GNC sells all that stuff, doctor's don't recommend using them at all.

I read in rare cases that Creatine can cause kidney stones... which would ****, but because it said it was rare and since I've used creatine before without problems that I would take the risk. This guy might have gotten a kidney stone...

I can't speak for his kidney problems, but when you're taking in THAT much extra creatine your body has no use for it and must work more than double time in your kidneys to get it out of your system. Plus a doctor and chiropractor who works at my gym both told me that new studies have shown that creatine monohydrate is not even used efficiently in the body. You'd have to ingest large amounts of it to get a small amount of creatine. All it does is make you bloated. What a lot of people don't know is that creatine phosphate is kind of like an energy reserve in your cells for when it runs out of ATP. You create more ATP (your cells energy source) from the creatine phosphate and the biproduct ADP (from most of the cells processes). You only need small amounts of creatine. Stick with whey protein!

in rare cases people have died from a regular dose of advil...rare sides dont mean a whole lot. creatine mono was proven effective and safe numerous time.

THAT much extra? steak has about 1.8g/lb of creatine. you could easily get the 5g you get from creatine supplimentation with 2-3 steaks. and that doesnt even include other meats. if you cant eat like that, you should be body building anyways.

Oh don't get me wrong, I agree with you. I am still taking it and not worried about the possible rare kidney problems.. I was just saying it is possible and that may be what happened to that guy. Rare sides like that won't affect me or change my opinion...

But feeling bloated is my main concern... It's all in my stomach, draining my energy and I had diarrhea one time and I've only been taking this 5 days now... I'm wondering if this is harming my body and should I be off of this immediatly and what brands won't do this to me.

You should be atleast consuming 120 oz of water a day, that could help with the diarrhea.
