Anyone near Merced, CA?

So I have a bit of a weird situation, I have a company wanting me to move out to Merced for a 1 month trial period to determine if I will stay on board. However, I live in FL, and how the **** am i supposed to find a place to stay for one month?

is there anyone near by that would be willing to let me pay rent for a month until I find my own place to stay? If not, is there anyone who knows of a good way to handle this situation? I'm thinking about a vacation rental lol

In a situation such as that, I'd go with an extended stay or Residence inn... I'd just want it over and DONE... less hassle... it will not be cheap but it is available just for situations like yours... LOL!.. relocating is really a b*tch and to do so on a "trial" basis only makes this way look even more attractive...

Sup bro. Have you checked with the company to see if they have a solution for you? Most tech companies like Google, SalesForce, etc. have intern housing where they let people live for free or stupid cheap during their evaluation periods. You can't bring children or spouses though. If this one of the real players they most likely have a solution built in for you. Also look at AirBNB type solutions as that is a hot spot for them.
I hope they're offering 6 figures because shit is EXPENSIVE out here.

AirBnB is definitely something i was looking at, you mentioned who the company is (not gonna admit it) but due to it being a subcontract for the large company for a secret project the work im doing is in a somewhat remote environment so i dont think they have any of those housing options available to me. im in talks with the CEO so im going to have to kinda be firm with them and hope it works out

the work isnt 6 figures, but its very good for someone my age just out of college and i really cant expect 6 figures unless i deploy overseas

it may be more expensive but merced looks cheap as ****, about the same as here or other places. state income tax blows as does COL ($12 for a personal pizza lmao) but im getting an offer $20k a year more than another offer i have in the works in iowa and this is with a company that could advance my career like no other so its something i cant just pass up. if i can get through the first month and then move out here or wherever they do most of the testing it could work out to be great

Get at it. It will be one hell of an experience.
I know there are specific sites for taking care of houses. You should check those out too. They don't charge like AirBNB. They are more of a trade off. Water the plants for a month in exchange for free room and board type ****.

San Francisco is a shit hole. That doesn't make anything better.

a few good areas with hot b*tches. Everywhere else is garbage. Food ***** as well. there's very few niche places that are okay.

Huh...CA is one of the most expensive places to live (I think WA is number 2 or 3 on the map)....like you need to be told that again tho lol. For a month tho, that's def a risk taker. But....get everything in writing. If this is/sounds like a temp contract, to have you on board as a trial, see how you like it and see how it pans out for ya....wish you luck man.
