Anyone know how to fix this????????

[TWF 10+ year member]

I have an 03 ranger with a 6 disc cd changer(1 unit in the dash, not an external cd changer) The cd part says there are no disk in it but there are 6 in it. When i press eject it says initializing and goes straight back to the radio. Anyone know how to fix it? (i dont have the money to buy an aftermarket cd player right now so not an option)

I have unhooked the battery and reset the radio---Didnt help

I have took it out and shook it----Didnt work

take it out again and shake it harder this time!! if that doesn't work cuss at it until you hurt it's feelings. you'll know when it's feelings are hurt because it will blow a fuse spontaneously as if to rebel and say, "screw you you meanie head poo poo face!". that is all.
