Retail price is Suggested Retail Price. IE The max you would ever expect to see them sold for in a brick and mortar type store with associated overhead.

The price they actually sell for from online retailers is less than that but considerably more than $500. Which is what I thought the guy was asking - If they sold for $500 or so.

For an exact price you would want to ask Don or some other dealer. Don is a good guy to buy from.

Doors. I have nice factory tweet and woofer mounting locations in doors. Plus Rainbow in their literature advocates mounting them in the doors.
