I am an Electronics tech and work on transmitters and recievers. Full time. Do a search for military pay charts and people usually start as an e2 or e3 depending on length of enlistment, college and a few other factors. Typical enlistment is 4 years active duty or 6 years.

as a Boatswain Mate and in a MSST Unit (Maritime Safety Security Team) ill be driving boats fast and doing some more tactical law enforcement, and other cool stuff.
