Anyone heard either: Alpine SPX 17Pro, OZ Audio ME (latest model)

If it means anything to anyone, once pac parts stocks the tweeter, the cal27 will be in the classifieds...based on early reports.

I still want to see more about off-axis response before jumping in.

Alll I know is that th tweet is nearly 2" -- so that would mean some customizing for me.

Installation diameter is 47mm. It really isn't that big.

The Cal27 has the same diameter and I don't find it very obstrusive at all. However, it is installed high in the door (and everyone complains but with suitable drivers, it is not an issue)

never heard either, but i did read a review of the OZ in PAS(?) magazine. The reviewer liked it but said the midrange lacked a bit, most likely since OZ was trying to achieve a much more mellow sound compared to most kits out there. At least, that's what i remember

Hmm, I am really only wanting to drop tweets into the stock locations on the sails. But I still maybe confused about the specs I am reading. I will take anopther look.

IDK, I have not seen that review. It looked to me like OZ was trying to put out a lot of bass -- maybe that is overpowering the midrange some in that reviewer's opinion?

I have the OZs.... I don't love them I miss my Rainbow Germs though, best speakers I've ever had.
