took the word right of out my mouth.

for the noobs, that stands for electronic brake control module. it has inputs coming in from the WSS's (wheel speed sensors) to detect when wheel slippage is occuring. it then applies and releases brakes at given wheels to maintain control of vehicle and prevent locking of the brakes.
