Nope, price alone has pushed me to other products. My philosophy is there has to be a reason that it is cheaper than everything else on the market and corners had to be cut somewhere. Maybe I am wrong maybe I am not...
Besides, I already have better amps for my needs than the currently produced Maxxsonics products. Now, I am not going to say that I haven't worked on some of my old school amps or had them worked on, because a couple of them have needed some maintenance over the years... Mainly capacitors.
But back to the product... I have actually recommended Hifonics to others who couldn't afford more expensive amplifiers for their subwoofers.... Shocking, isn't it? From listening to those setups, I have determined that they sound just fine on loose, sloppy, hip-hop bass but start to not sound so good on anything that is fast with lots of transients and peaks.

With that said, they may not be the old Hifonics, but they still do what they are ment to do and I have seen many people run them fine with no problems and have seen a couple have problems. Same with most amps. I have a buddy who has a liner power amp like you have that has been worked on many times, but he loves the power it puts out. Coming out of the woodwork? Not many people bash Hifonics, due to them knowing what it does. It is a budget amp that works well in many cases. I rarely get into pissing matches about brands, but some of the off wall shit you say is retarded!
