Anyone got a JL HD600/4 yet??

JL HD600/4 and PDX 4.150 are both excellent amplifiers. Both of them are nice chassis and excellent performance. It decides which kind of music you like. If you like light music, HD600/4 will be better for you. The sound is more soft. If you like rock or hip hop, you can select PDX 4.150 with a powerful mono amplifier.

So, you have owned both I assume?

I bought one last week but I haven't installed it yet. I'm going to bridge it to send 300w each to my Pro60 mids.

I don't have first-hand experience with PDX amps, but the shop where I bought it sells a lot of them and they like these new JL amps better. From the reading I've done they seem like they are a little further advanced, which just makes sense being brand new and knowing how much R&D goes into JL's flagship stuff. It's a sexy hunk of metal for sure! I've got some interior work going down right now so it probably won't be in for a couple more weeks. Several guys over on the elitecaraudio forums have them and seem to be extremely pleased so far.

When it comes down to it, if you've got the scratch, you can't go wrong with either line of amps (PDX or HD).

why does the hd series amp cost less than the slash series? is the slash series still the flag ship and the hd's are a step down?

example: 450/4 cost more than a hd600/4
