Anyone from the Gulfcoast?

As of now i live right in the path, south of Lafayette,LA.Sent the wife and kids away, gotta bottle of whiskey and a generator. me and the dogs are gonna ride it out. lolIf it comes down to it,i'll eat the dogs, lol.

As far as the people saying not to rebuild New Orleans, you must have forgot about that little river that brings in alot of things by way of its port. (some peoples childern)
Then leave it industrial so when shit like this happens again there won't be thousands of dead people and mass destruction of neighborhoods.

Well I'm in Walker which is about 50 miles, as the crow flies, from New Orleans. We are expecting around 70-100 mph winds here early in the morning. I have a generator and my family and lots of prayers. Probably will be out of electricity for a few days. I know with Katrina we were without power for 6 days, hopefully we will not be that long this time. Keep us in your prayers, when I say us I mean everyone that in our area.

Thanks

Kinda easy to say when you live up north,no one wants to commute to work that far just so you Yankees can get your goods with all the oil and gas you get from us.

Tell your congressman that you would rather see your tax payer $ spent over here instead of Iraq and then it want seem like so much of your money being spent to rebuild your own country.

WE need to take care of our own, watch gas prices after this storm.

Don't try to defend new orleans. I don't care how much culture or history is there. It's in a shitty spot and everyone outside of the state of louisiana knows it. People are just to "proud" and ignorant to move.

Don't come crying to me when your shit gets washed away for the 2nd time in less than 5 years.

Do you really think that if new orleans is completely destroyed that we as a country would completely fall apart? New Orleans thinks it's more important than it really is. Hopefully the entire area gets completely covered in water and they move the port to a piece of land that is actually ABOVE sea level. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
