Cool, I'm hopping the campus will be close till Friday, because I won't be able to drive down until thursday and don't want to miss my classes.sweet so do I, I went to my parents house though to help them out for the storm
It's just gods way of flushing the toilet.
I understand there is some historical value there, but let's be logical here. There is more to New Orleans than just Bourbon St. Take for example all of the historic architecture (sp), art, etc. Granted parts of New Orleans are a **** hole, but it is still worth saving as the majority of the historic district is filled with all sorts of things such as the french quarter and the port, which alot of the oil for the U.S. passes through.
I live at LSU right now in the dorms, but before the storm I went to my mother's house in Bossier. I just have the campus fairs well along with my grandparent's and girlfriend's parent's house in Hammond. I'm afraid though that my girlfriend's sister's house in Luling is going to go under water though.
i lol'd at the first part. not the second. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gifx2 ... heard this quote after Katrina happend, got a giggle from it...

x2.I understand there is some historical value there, but let's be logical here.
The town resides in an area surrounded by water and is below sea level. That's not exactly optimum living conditions especially when hurricanes are commonplace in the area.
It is just going to be a waste of money to rebuild again and have another hurricane come in 5 years and decimate the whole place again.
This wouldn't be the first time that a "historical" area would be destroyed by mother nature, so what makes new orleans so much better that people want the government to spend billions rebuilding it for the 2nd time? This is mother nature's way of saying "don't be stupid enough to live here".
Don't build your house in antarctica and then complain about when it snows.
Maybe we can get those SEs for cheap after you get here, lol.Dont think he is going to sell them any other way.Good luck man, I wish u good. I hope the womans family is ok also. Ill probably be there soon to see the outcome.
Then leave it industrial so when **** like this happens again there won't be thousands of dead people and mass destruction of neighborhoods. As of now i live right in the path, south of Lafayette,LA.Sent the wife and kids away, gotta bottle of whiskey and a generator. me and the dogs are gonna ride it out. lolIf it comes down to it,i'll eat the dogs, lol.
As far as the people saying not to rebuild New Orleans, you must have forgot about that little river that brings in alot of things by way of its port. (some peoples childern)
Kinda easy to say when you live up north,no one wants to commute to work that far just so you Yankees can get your goods with all the oil and gas you get from us.Then leave it industrial so when **** like this happens again there won't be thousands of dead people and mass destruction of neighborhoods.
