anyone ever slip a disk?

i slipped on the stairs earlier and slid down on my ***...well when got up i couldnt move my neck without it hurting like hell. if i keep it still it doesnt hurt but when i tilt it to the left just a little bit the pain is unbearable. what do u think it could be? id go to the ER but i dont have health insurance...

ouch that doesn't sound good, sounds like some kind of spinal chord damage. my mom slipped her disc, but wasn't in that much pain. you might should **** it up and head the doctor.

i had somethin similar happen with my neck a few months back but it eventually went away...IIRC it was if i tilted it to the right //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif idk, im gonna wait till my mom gets home in a lil bit to see what i should do about it.

all i know is back problems are the worst. my mom has to take several muscle relaxers just to get through the day.

i pulled my back a few months ago so bad that every time i sat down, it felt like i got punched in the balls......

luckily it went away after a few weeks, but i know if it's a serious enough problem, it WONT heal itself, and will get worse

just called the doc to see if i could get in and have it checked out and i cant go till 9.30 tomorrow morning...said to take some tylenol...its prolly a pulled muscle

I was bending over to pick up a pillow one night and all of a sudden it felt like 500 volts went right up my spin and I fell down. I couldnt feel or move either one of my legs for about 2 minutes. They started tingling like they fell asleep and were coming back. I was in soo much pain I went to the ER about 6 hours later. I tore completely thru one disk and slipped the disk right below it. The nerves were hanging out between 2 vertibres and were causing my legs to be paralyzed when they got pinched. All that for just picking up a **** pillow. That happened almost a year ago and I still cant bend over or rotate my lower back. I get epidural injections of sterioids every 3 months to help with swelling and pain. I will basically have all 3 vertibres fused down the road. My Doc told me to live with it as long as I can before having surgery.

So back injuries are nothing to mess with.

Get that checked right away, I waited too long and wound up having two rods in my back bucause I thought that I only pulled a muscle

well...it looks like i only pulled a muscle. no slipped disks or anything thank god. the chiropractor took some xrays then some laser decompression therapy..i feel a lil better now. also got a heatpack on FTW

Glad to hear its only that..

My dad has back problems and has had to have surgery.. His back problems started when he got hit hard from behind playing football in high school.. I have seen him in a lot of pain.. He had to quit work and get on disability cause his back..

My brother has had back surgery already for a slipped disk and he is only 24.. Had the surgery when he was 21 I think. His back bothers him every few weeks..

Hopefulyl I won't have back problems, but the odds aint lookin good.

When I was 10 or 11 my brother (17 at the time) and his friend were real big into the WWF wrestling scene.. And of course they always tried out the moves on me.. Got choke slammed by his friend once and he misses the bed.. Took a rather long drop to the floor.. I cried.. Few months later I got pedigreed on the bed and it hurt like hell.. I cried again.. We still laugh about to this day though.
