Anyone ever had this problem?

The PCM detects that, and it will go into failsafe mode. It will run. All that sensor does is tell the PCM how hot/cold the engine is so the PCM can make up for it (such as idle when you first start the car, air intake and fuel delivery) It does not matter anyways, the MIL is not on, so that sensor is definitely not the problem. Take it to a garage.
not everyone wants to shell out 65 dollars an hour to get there car fixed if they might be able to do it themselves...

if it was a fuel pump problem wouldnt it affect the driving?
only way to know for sure if check for voltage at the pump when its acting up and wont start, if it has power its the pump. if not its a relay of the ecu or a sensor.

ive never had a fuel pump stop and work again, usually they just go and never work again.
i have, especially if i got under the vehicle and banged on the fuel tank a couple times //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i doubt its the fuel pump if you can hear it turn on every time you turn the ignition on.

The fuel pump will not shut down when the car is "Hot" it is powered electrically and has no relation to how hot the engine is.You can check by putting your ear near the gas tank and cycling the key forward. Listen for the whine of the pump. If you dont hear it, the fuel pump is not working. Hit the gas tank with a plastic mallet to see if it will intermittantly kick on.

What it might sound like is you need to take it to a mechanic. there are a million possibilities why it is doing this. It is also very hard to diagnose a problem like that over the internet.
He may not have been referring to how hot the engine is, but how hot the fuel pump is. Gasoline acts as a coolant for the fuel pump itself. If you run your gas tank on E all the time, or it is malfunctioning then the correct amount of gas might not be running through the pump and therefore the pump might be getting hot.

Im talking about the COOLANT temp sensor...

anyway to chk the fuel pump? their is gas in the car though about a quarter tank.

right. could it be ignition coils or wires getting bad? it is getting spark though
You never know...spray the wires down with wd40, see if that fixes it.

Or , start your car, and run it at night...youll see if your wires are bad, its like a lil lightning show just for you.

my old escort had bad wires and it would act up only once in awhile...

if you hear it running...it is most likely good. The right way to do it is to get a dmm and check the wires for the fuel pump for correct voltage..

btw, how many miles on her?

get the fucker diagnosed. Ovbiously he is not getting any help on a Car audio forum, anything anyone said on here I would take with a grain of salt.

If his check engine light is not on, he does not have any problems that anyone is talking about here besides a fuel pump. However, the fuel pump would not do as he is describing. the car does not shut off everytime it runs for a prolonged period of time (stalls on him) It just will not start if the car is warm. Take it to a garage for diagnosis.
