Anyone ever built a box for an Integra?

Just wondering if anyone has....looking to get some blueprints/ideas...as to see what my options are and what the max size i could go with....

the reason i don't simply measure and do math is cuz the integra trunk is screwy...and i have some questions that can only really be answered if one has built one and actually put it in a trunk.

If anyone has any plans drawn up or if i could give you some very rough numbers if you could do the math ..i know how to do the math for sealed but not ported....

i did two boxes for a 91 (i think it was). One was ported tuned to like 30hz and just took up the space between the back seat and the actual lid of the trunk. The other box was ported as well and was made just for SPL and tuned high and was a two-step design with the sub facing up on the lower part beneath the trunk lid (you couldnt see it when the trunk was closed) and the top part had the port extending up about level with the top of the seats. To get an idea it looked like the letter L when viewed from the side.

Find out how much airspace you need for your sub. Go out and measure. Finding volume for ported is the same, but you need to subtract the port volume as well. Then its just a matter of building something that fits your dimensions/space.

ahh ported boxes confuse me...how do i know the port volume? so i know what to subtract...if i gave you measurements and a simple drawing in paint of what i wanted it to look like could you draw me up something?

If so, i have roughly 14 inches in height to play with....and about 29" wide and deep.....i want the box as small as possible...but yet still get around 3.5 after all displacement. sub displacement is .18 ft^3.

I was thinking...roughly 14inches tall....29 inches wide....and around 15-16 inches deep(this is the one i want as small as possible.)... but that is without figuring in the port volume and what not....

And the sub will be a 15" so i may have to go around 18 -19 inches deep...cuz sub will be on top of the box...

If i haven't lost you yet...congratulations.

Anyways ...any help would be greatly appreciated...

Oh yea forgot to mention..i wouldn't mind teh box being a lil bit bigger than 3.5 after all displacement, say no bigger than 4.0....and the tuning..i would like to go for ...right around 35hz

what kind of sub is it? so you want the sub and port both facing up?

im a little rusty on designing boxes but all you have to do is make a "box help" thread with your measurements and the tuning you want and airspace you want and someone can figure it out, it doesnt really have to be integra specific since you have measurements.
