Anyone ever been a sales person for one of those home product companies?

I did cutco when I had just left highschool. They do ask that the people you do a presentation to are over 25 but they can prove there not unless they actually call them.(They ask you to give there name and number). i made a nice bit of change doing it for a summer. As stated before they are really nice knives but are very over priced. I ended up getting a home maker set out of the deal. They will pay you for your presentations even if you dont sell but they will eventully catch on. I kinda spaced out my actual sales and made out with about 2 grand that summer.

This one guy in my "training seminar" made like 10 grand. I dont know how the hell he did that.

Hahahah.. what a sham..

I used to deliver, about 35 hours a week. 500~1000 per week for 4 years //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Applying for Zaxby's chicken place today. Told me they only accepted applications on Wednesdays and the interview followed..

I was afraid about having to pay my own gas money delivering pizza. With 18mpg I ain't got the best vehicle for that.

There are idiots out there who will buy them, one of my in-laws bought a couple knifes for like $300 bucks but I would imagine they are few and far between and most of them will be people who will not pay (I think you 'give' them the knifes then the company invoices them)

Look for a job as a waiter, valet parking or anyplace you will make tips.. if you have a beater that is cheap on gas look into delivering pizzas or something.

lmao I just got another call from "Vector Marketing"

I swear... all my friends are selling f'n knives. And every one of em recommends me. Next time someone calls I want to scream at them.

just canceled the interview..
thanks for the input.

I really don't want to have to work at a restaurant.. wish i could find a job that was just manual labor. i like physical work
Physical work eh? Well I just quit after 1 day working with a guy burying cable for time warner. You get paid $50 a day no matter how many hours you work and u usually work 10-12 hours a day. Good luck and have fun //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif lol...

Most pizza places will compensate for gas. Dominos(sp?) here pays $12 a hour + compensation.

Yeah, don't ever go door-to-door this day and age. Anything you try to sell will be marked up insanely and people just go to WalMart anyway.

Had a friend that tried selling Kirby vacuums just out of high school. Did it for five or six weeks and sold only one.
