blond facial hair FTW indeed. i use a straight razor once a week. old skool, best shave ever hands down. as soon as you get over the dont slip and slice your throat thing......lol

Blond facial hair FTW, I look decent until I hit day 4. Then its time to shave again. I use a fusion and don't mind it. It gets close enough for me.

wet shaving FTW...been doing it for about 2 years now, with my viking blood, I grow a full beard overnight, so, I'm constantly shaving and this is literally a fraction of the cost in the long run even with a nice setup...no to mention that I have easily irritated skin on my face, and down here in Florida with the humidity its even worse and wet shaving makes a world of difference, smoother with zero irritation and a cleaner feel...wont go back...

im arabic/italian, so my Five O'clock shadow shows up at noon. I used to shave just about every day, but i also have a beard, so id basically be shaving around my beard. here's a picture.

i was spending ridiculous amounts of money keeping up with razors and blades, and every now and again id shave into my beard a little bit and screw something up, looking like a complete a-hole. so, i started getting my barber more involved. usually, once every couple of weeks, he'd line me up and get my beard looking right, and id just try to follow his lines for the next couple of weeks. evenually i lost faith in myself and just started going to Manny (the barber) more often. As of now, i pay him $75 a month, and i go in whenever i want. i go twice a week most weeks, get a haircut, lined up, and straight edge on tuesdays, then go back friday and just get the straight edge to clean up all my stubble...most weeks, some weeks, if theres a special occasion, or if im going out with a lady friend, ill go in 3-4x a week (just for the beard) and get cleaned up. its a huge pain in the ***, big hassle. being arabic ftl. /rant

Yup, just started using one recently. Went with a Gillete adjustable. I believe they were called fatboys. I need to get a decent brush/soap now....just picked up a 100 pack of derby blades on ebay. Seem to be pretty good so far.

if you read the intro to the site you posted it says "... to provide information for any shaver, from the beginner to the seasoned pros"(im paraphrasing), there are professional shavers? is it a sport?

I'm actually Italian / Jewish (Ancestry from modern day Germany, Poland, etc.), I'm 19 in a few weeks, and I have some chin hair, a mexi-stache, and some side burns... but that's about it. I should be a hairy mug, but I'm nearly hairless for being nearly 19.

And if I were you, I'd just let that shit grow out. It's not worth it.

no, it's not a sport, but beginners usually won't pick up a straight razor or one of the more aggressive blades and go to work.....takes some practice to get to the point that you can do it without mangling your face.
