anyone else shave with a double-edged safety razor?

I used to shave every other day during high school, and a Mach 3 blade would easily last me a month...never cut myself either, I'm a pro like that. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
I didn't start having until college (2002). //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

Even now I shave once every 4-5 days.

interesting..

I get razor burns all the fing time.. thats why I hate shaving, but I like smooth face.. I end up shaving every 2 weeks because razor burn is a *****..

Maybe I should check this stuff you got out?

I got the gillette fusion with vibration(like it makes any diffy) and it hurts like a ***** after i shave once.. I tend to go thru my face twice.. first time i would shave upwards and then second time i would go thru the face again but shaving downwards instead so that way it would be 100% smooth.. BUT by the time I reach to the second round, it hurts like a ***** i would just quit shaving and leave it a bit stubby when rubbing upwards..

not sure if i am clear?

Electric for me... Much easier and can basically do it half asleep on my way to work in the car.
electric stuff is all bs to me.. I bought 2 different sets (maybe not high quality but those were some nice brands like philips or whatever) and they pulled my hair like hell and did not even give me a smooth shave.. my face would still be stubby after using any of those electric stuff..

I started shaving in 7th grade, an was forced to shave every other day from 9th-12th because my schools didn't allow facial hair. I haven't shaved in a few years though. I just use a beard/mustache trimmer to maintain a .5-1" long beard for now.

My dad has had a mustache since he was 16. I'm 24 and still can't grow one. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

What kind of school did you go to?

Thick beard + electric razor = painful.
True depending on what you use... If i let it get too long i use a straight edge electric to trim it, then use my Braun to get it smooth.

I've noticed electric can get as close as a blade as long as u buy a nice one, spent a few years buying cheap ones and all they were all crap. The one i have now was $150 or so and had it for over a year now.

blond facial hair FTW indeed. i use a straight razor once a week. old skool, best shave ever hands down. as soon as you get over the dont slip and slice your throat thing......lol

I have a braun electric shaver. I prefer a normal razor though. The thing I dont like about electrics is you have to go back and forth over the same spot several times at different angles for it to be smooth. Takes like 4 times longer than a normal razor.

All that shaving crap you bought is so ****ing pretentious.

I can imagine anyone who buys that stuff to leave the boxes on display as opposed to just chucking it in the trash.

I used to go through a 10 pack every month. now I bought an electric and it shaves just as close if you use it correctly. it cost me about 3 times a 10 pack, so I will see the difference in 3 months:woot:
