I'm on the USS McClusky right now, I'm getting off this POS in 6 months.

SSG 12B Combat Engineer, Terrain enhancement and Battle field construction, bridges and Demolition. From 1981-1992, It was a great experience 2 tours in Germany and Ft Polk, LA and FT Ord,CA

first i was at Camp Stanley, but we moved south when Artillery took over there. we moved down to Seoul at K-16 Air Base. right next to the ROK AFB.

bunkerking09 - if you want to fly in the Army, don't go O. Get a warrant if you want to actually fly for more than a year or two after Rucker. I looked at going into the Army as a helo pilot when it was looking like th AF wouldn't let me fly. I canned that idea as soon as I found out that once you make Capt, no more flying for you.

I was stationed at Camp Casey (Camp Hovey really), Camp Bonifas on the DMZ. I was 102 MI Battalion Delta company (Long Range Surveillance)

Camp Stanley...i went there once for something. I remember they had a big sign over the main gate that said " Home Of the Big Guns And Big Rotors"
I was stationed at Camp Casey (Camp Hovey really), Camp Bonifas on the DMZ. I was 102 MI Battalion Delta company (Long Range Surveillance)

now it's just "big guns" i guess. i was aviation (UH-60 or GTFO //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif) with 2-2 and we moved out just before 602nd did.

never went too much father north though. humphreys was one i went to a few times. and Camp Yongsan i was at every day almost.

i failed urinalysis at MEPS when i was going in the NG (turned out better this way...)

and 6 months later i had to get a waiver to go in active. but i 100% lied to the doc about past use. even though he has my record that said i failed once. lol

and it took a GOOD 6wks on no smoking to pass the test at the recruiting station. and it's the cheapo rite-aid BS.

i used to frequent Yongsan every chance i got......Used to stay at the Dragon Hill Lodge all the time and go clubbin in Itaewon

CPL is the most BS rank in the army. WAY more responsibility than a Spec with NO more money... fck that
