i used to frequent Yongsan every chance i got......Used to stay at the Dragon Hill Lodge all the time and go clubbin in Itaewon

OH LAWD!!!

itaewon is 1/2 the reason i'm not in the military right now. yongsan PX is the other 1/2. lol

underage drinking in Itaewon (arrested + article 15)

before i was done with extra duty for that (45 days after you get read IIRC) i got arrested AGAIN for shoplifting at the PX. very dumb on my part but that was Article 15 #2 within 6 mos so i was on my way out.

when i left korea (my first duty station) i was a civilian again.

CPL is the most BS rank in the army. WAY more responsibility than a Spec with NO more money... fck that

lol ... i was a cpl for about 90 days. It was right after i went to the E5 board and was waiting my 90 period to see if i had enough points to make E5. Of course i had 998 points and only needed 536 to hit E5 so as soon as my 90 waiting period was up i got promoted right away

they are plenty of them!! i saw a riot while in yongsan once. under the bridge (you know what i mean) and there were 1000's of them just bustin folks ass. i had to stop and watch of course.

BTW nothing bothers me more than coming in on an instrument approach in a Huey and having the tower guy asking me to confirm that my gear is down...if it isn't down, it's missing. Just once I wanted to reply that I wasn't getting gear indications in the cockpit and request a low approach for a visual gear inspection, only to pull into a hover in front of the tower right at eye level so the controller could get a good look at the skids quite solidly BOLTED in place on the bottom of the aircraft.

and those fckin UH-1's are LOOOUUUUDDD. haha, i bet he shat himself. and how does the tower not know a chopper doesn't have retracting gear.

so were you a warrant? I wanna go into aviation after i get done with my ROTC program, so any tips suggestions would be sweet
