Anyone design a 6th order BP before?

I am thinking of buildin one just for the heck out of it and see how it sounds ,but I dont know what kinda space and tuning to try. I was thinkin of maybe the rear chamber being 2.5 cubes tuned to 32-35hz and the front chamber 1.5 cubes tuned to 65hz....what do yall think?Just tryin to get a general idea of tuning hzs aswell as what should I do with the SFF? The sub I will building the box for is a older (02 IIRC) kicker 12" L5, thanks for any input fellas

Isn't that a 4th-order because one chamber is sealed, and the other is ported? Also how do you come up with these numbers?

Nah 96 civ, I am doin a 6th order, which is a dual chambered box and both chambers are ported,as far as the numbers go,I guessed....I just happened to be pretty close.

But having the front chamber being 2 cubes (with no porting therefore sealed) and the rear chamber being ported is a 4th order... maybe I'm missing something here. Aren't bandpass boxes more T/S parameter specific as well?

AH yea bra, one chamber sealed one ported=4th obp ,2 chambers ported =6th order...Yea the max effect of the BPs requires all lot of time to design,but they are huge! I am just playin around with the sub( HD3s are almost ready to go in:naughty: )I see u got a L5 if the box sound good I will post the final specs on the box for ya to play with

That'd be killer dude, thanks. I've been wanting to design a 4th order for a while, but there's very little talk/articles about it that I haven't been able to really design one that I can be confident that it wouldn't a) sound like crap b) be hazardous to my driver.
