ok. im done with my basshead phase. hopefully forever.

im looking to change up the box i have

right now its 2 12w6v2's in 4 cubes ported to 32 htz... molester's plans

im looking to, retain similar output, particularly in the kickdrum region, but tighten up the SQ a little by going sealed. im not to much into SPL and loudness anymore, i just love that getting kicked in the back loud kickdrum.

Any sealed size recomendations?

oh ill also be ugrading my mids soon, 6.5" DLS MS6's off an orion 4002

i have a bx 1605 powering the subs, ill probobly be changing it up to an orion 1200d soon, to save my electrical a little and match the amps.

deh-860mp's controlling it all

If you're going toward more SQ then anything you shouldn't get that kicked in the back loud kickdrum because it should seem like it's coming from in front of you.

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif bass is non directional //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

While the waveform in itself is non-directional, with a poor or more SPL-oriented install you certainly can tell where it's coming from //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Ideally you don't want it to be localizable, yeah.

but that still doesnt mean with an sq system it will sound like its coming from in front of you will it?

You should have the sub(s) playing so quietly so that the components will not be drowned out therefore allowing the sub to reinforce the frequencies coming from the midrange/midbass speakers. This will give you better sound reproduction from the speakers... have you ever been to a concert where the bass guitarist is playing behind the audience, or where the percussionist is hitting the kick drum behind you?
