Anybody make a decent 6x8 for the Exploder for cheap??

Just like the title says, I am on a REAL tight budget and need some good sounding 6x8's for my exploder, I have a sundown SAX 100.4 to power them so they need to handle that kind of power. I would love to do some separates, but I don't have the cash right now and hopefully these will get me 90% where I want to be. I will eventually have a nice single 10" sub on 1500RMS soon as well I just need to build the box... I'm open to any ideas you might have. I am going for a nice SQL setup... I think in the Expo, the 10 should hit pretty good, its a nice custom one I had built a while back that flexed the hell out of the roof on my old Silverado, so in an SUV it should kick ***!

1. Buy one set of good comps for the front.

2. Bridge 100.4 to power said comps.

3. Run no rears/stock rears if you must off the HU, then upgrade later. If you must.

REV series are nasty good badazz shizzle...

barring that do some good coax that are efficient in the rear and amp the helloutta the fronts..

What if I did this? I have a set of Hertz HSK three ways but I installed the mid bass in my old truck and then forgot they were in there when I sold it! But I still have everything else, could I just replace the mid bass with something from part-***-press and still use the crossover, mid and tweets?? Then I could just put the 6.5"ers I have in the back doors! Will this work ok? Do you have any suggestions on which midbass to get that will give me a good performance???

if the holes in your back doors are for 6x8s youll have to cut to fit a 6.5 mid woofer in there, but a 5.25 will fit with an adapter

yea you can do that, just find out where the passives crossover frequency is at and find a midbass that will play pretty flat to that point and you should get pretty good results
