At least 4cu.ft. per sub .88 just doesnt cut it.

The guys at Kicker are great. Call them up(or email) and explain your situation. Tell them that you are going to get 2 12" L7's and need to know what they recommend as far as boxes go. Tell them it will be in the bed of your Avalanche and you need to be able to hear the bass inside of the cabin without having to absolutley crank it.

They should be able to cover everything as well as send you some box plans via e-mail.

EDIT ~ Have you decided between ported or sealed? My suggestion would be ported...but if your looking for SQ over SPL go sealed.

I want more SPL. Good quality bass. SO which would be better the ported or sealed? And can you go wrong with either one?

Thats what the "etc." was for...and this is where I suggest the Kicker KX1200.1

Keep in mind you need an amp that corresponds with the ohm load coming from the speakers.

Although a 700w amp on each would be fine...I suggest the single mono amp though.

I thought a Mono amp meant it could only go to one sub?

and like if the amp was a 800.2 you could send 400 watts to each sub or bridge it and send 1600 to one sub?

you can split the current, too. I don't know if that's the right terminology, but yes, you can take one big amp, and make it go to two different places. I don't, I have one per sub, but I originally wanted to go for one big amp, which would've been just as good of an idea. You shall be fine.

You can wire your subs in series/parallel to be able to run a mono amp to them.
