Anybody have a new Chevy Avalanch?

I test drove the Avalanche and talked it over with my dad and it looks like ill be getting one of these.

What kind of 15's did you have? Amps? You said it was loud.. was the bass clear? and was it overall good sounding?

He's had a number of systems in the past 3 or 4 months. He had 2 15" ID IDQ's with 350RMS going to each...big sealed box...was fairly loud, but sounded awsome. He's had Eclipse Ti's...they were pretty nice, expensive though. And on order now he has 2 12" Brahma's going into a pretty big ported box and 2 15" RE SE's going into a big ported box as well. I'm sure both are going to be loud as well as sound pretty good. He just bought a tonneau cover so he can now run his system through this winter.

And he had this set up in the bed right? Did he keep the back seats up or down?

In the summer, when we were cruising, he took the glass and the back seats down, turned the box around and bumped. Now, in the winter, or when he hauls people around, he just turns the box around so it fires out into the bed.

ok thats what i thought. But it does sound decent firing out into the bed? Does it rattle alot? or sound clean?

He has it sound deadened, so that probably cuts down on some rattles...but as for the bed rattling, no, it doesnt...it sounds pretty clean. Again, some of that depends on the sub itself.

He had 2 15's, I dont know if I can afford 2 Solo Baric 15's.

but how would 2 12" L7 Solo Baric's sound?

They would be pretty loud...big ported or sealed box, lots of power...you'd be bumpin' pretty good.

One thing, remember, make the box easily removable...same with the amps...fair amount of slack wire so you can bring the amp inside the cabin.

How would that box do? It is sealed.

.88 cubic feet each chamber

14" h X 14 1/2" b d X 8 1/2" td X 28 1/4" w

Where should I mount the amp or amps? What about to the roof and run the wires down the side of the truck into the bed? then if I need to remove the box, just unhook the wires right?
