Anybody following tookie's story?

I have no problem with the death penalty. After I heard about what he did, IMO he deserves to die. Killing 4 people is horrible. I dont care how many childrens books hes written. Maybe its because im origianlly from Texas and we arent scared to put people to death here. But I do believe that there are certain crimes that warant death as a punishment.

You left out the part that he helped found the crips street gang.

well i agree its wrong killing 4 people and he should be punished. they are also saying that the reason he is in death row is because of an all white jurey he had. but the death penalty is against out constituion it says that it is wrong to receive a crushal punishment for the crime you did.

im kinda both ways on this subject. the LAPD was VEEERRRRYYYYY corrupt in the 70's. I believe there is really no proof HE killed the people. From what i've read and all he was prosecuted from pointing fingers really. Someone just pointed a finger at him and the conviction was made. 70's were a lot more racist than todays world and with an all white jury I wouldnt put it past the idea of a racial conviction.

i believe there was concrete proof behind the manson case, not so with this one. atleast thats what i've read.

He killed those 4 people for $26 and some change. He led a gang that killed thousands of people. He brought drugs and guns into children's hands.

And you think the man shouldnt die for what he did?

Thats like Saddam Hussein writing childrens books and speaking out against butchering people just to escape death. Are you going to take his side too?

The truth was that this man was a ruthless killer. He has to pay for what he did in this life and the next.
