anybody ever ran their plate amp at 2ohms?

Basically my vote is still don't do it.

I'm not going to argue this anymore because Sergio apparently has a bigger E-Penis than me.

Sergio, since you have such wisdom and I want to know, why then when I have a subwoofer of 1 ohm on my amplifier it runs just fine, but when I have a subwoofer or .5 or .35 does it heat up and shut off? Does that mean my amp is only made to run at 10+ Ohms and not at 5 or 3.5 ohms?

With impedance rise I should be ok? Maybe you can explain that one to me...

Read my post once again, run the tests for your specific application, with your exact woofer, exact box being used and see if the resistance ever falls below your amps rated load within or near the usuable frequency range (where you set your subsonic and lowpass).
If it still heats up/shuts off, then either

A.) Your have your gains set wrong

B.) Your running a clipped source signal

C.) Over inflated manufacture ratings for continuous power outputs or thermal handling at a given load.
