I also have these (have bought 6 or 8 total, something like that. Sold most of them locally). They are very musical, but get loud and low. Used 2 in a 4cu.ft. box tuned to 33Hz and 1 in a 2cu.ft. box tuned to 32Hz (before it was stolen) and the sound reminded me of the OZ Matrix Elite in terms of clarity. Abusability reminds me of the RE SE. I used the 2 on a Lanzar hg2600d and did 139.4db at the headrest with bad voltage drops (voltage kept dipping to 11.33). I built a SPL box for them to see how 1 would do for MECA state finals but somebody stole my equipment so I never got to use the spl box (still have it, but my amp was stolen). I'm sure it would do well tho. Some customers complained of tinsel lead slap, but I just glued some felt pads to the cone to take care of that. The claw basket design performs just as well too. The guy that sells them is real nice too, he has a warehouse full of them and is selling til their gone (I bought up the 12-spoke but he has plenty of claw-basket designs and multimagnet designs). The parent company Californiaboom is now defunct so I think the end is in site once Jon Deeter sells off his stock. So overall a good sub, unbeatable deal no matter which model you go with. Deeter has 10" versions of the multi-magnet sub as well. Look at this sub next to a tc-9, rd audio sonance (for the claw basket), and many other reputable brands and its not much difference. Matter of fact, I'ma find me a different dustcap to put on this so I can sell each for 200 ;o)
