DD 1508, how's the SQ?

Like the title says, how is the DD 1508 in terms of SQ? I know that little guy can get loud, but how does it sound? Sloppy or quick?

Disgustingly bad.

But probably not to you OP, because JimJ is Mr. SQ. So he can call them that because relative to all the woofers he has tested they probably sound bad.

the DD 1008a rated tops in a sound quality in a test against several models of 8's a few months ago...

Well I'm sorta downgrading the size of my sub. Currently have a 15" RL-p. I love the sub...very musical and quick. BUT it is taking up too much room. I want to regain some trunk room. So I came across a guy that is selling the 1508 locally. Figured I'd ask first before making the purchase.

Impact for kicks...awesome. Everything else sounded like poo...they sounded hollow. If you want loud 8's go for them, if you want good sounding 8's look elsewhere.

I've owned both rli8's and dd1508's....would choose the rli8's any day!

if the rlp is ported you could always try sealed and get a little room back. Won't get you a ton of space back, but you don't have to buy anything that way.
