Anybody ever had to get their IRAGGI alt replaced?

I've had my Iraggi alt for about a year now, since june 2006. It's a 220/140 that went on my 3.4L v6 2001 4runner. Worked pretty good until about a week ago where it started making horrible noises from the inside. It chirps and squeaks at idle and screams and ticks above 3000 rpms.

So I've been calling Iraggi but no one pics up and his cells off and both message boxes are full. So I'm just wondering if anybody here has had to deal with a warranty replacement with Iraggi and if it went well or if you got hassled and it was a pain in the ***. Or if someone knows the best way to get a hold of him tell me!

unfortunatly im having to send a brand new one back...i emailed him and got a response within a day.... I would have to say the service was average and not the most satisfying i had ever recieved.

makes strange noise like a bad barring type noise. When i installed it and measured the voltage it only reads around 12.2 with no accessories on. my stock alt was steady at 13.6 or so. What voltage does yours read? Installed my stocker back and my voltage is fine again. I have almost re wired my entire harness with 4g and 0 guage power and ground wires to tons of stuff so its more like the big 10-15 then the big 3... also running a new kinetik battery. My advice would be to find him on ebay and message him on one of his ebay auctions thats what i do.

Deg, I am having the same problem with my DB alt. I noticed today while driving, my idle only shows 11.2V.....WTF? They are sending me a new one though.

i expected the same type of service your getting at least send me a new one first n let me send the old one back... but oh well... Customer service now days goes behind customer satisfaction.

i had to have my irraggi alt replaced a total of three times...

and let me tell you, dominick was shady as hell about it. and i agree, for the premium price you are paying for that alt, you would expect a better product, but they are crap!! when mine was running at its best, it was still producing less than half of what it was supposed to... roughly 1/3 of what it was rated at. and that was while it was running at its best. my alternator spent more time in transit back and forth to being repaired more than it spent installed on the car...

if i were you, i would beg and plea to get my money back from him. but good luck with that, dominick is shady as hell once he has your money. i thought for the longest time i was getting scammed, as soon as he had my money order he immediatly stopped all conversation with me. wouldnt return phone calls, rarely returned emails, etc...

best of luck with your alt repair, in the end of my ordeal i just cut my losses (cost of the alt, plus shipping back and forth all those times...) and went with a different alt builder.

keep the post updated with any info and i will do the same... i have no reason yet to believe dom isnt a good guy... I just ocntacted Nathan at EA and he has been vary quick and super nice... Wish i went with them in the first place now.... oh well... Prices are less then iraggi too... only by $5 but still. 3-4 day build on a custom alt with higher power. I'm gonna do my best to get my money back now and go with them.

Mine was $40 cheaper from EA, but it was the ROE group buy. Hope all goes well and you get the alt you want...
