hmmm.....im workin with the warranty dept now to get this straightened out.....probably the last thing you wanna do is tell em u bought it from Shane though.....this is not the first time i had something sent in for warranty so my chances of getting an amp are looking pretty good right now......theyre pulling up my paperwork and will give me a call back within a half hour i was told so we'll see how it goes
i wonder if whoever said this is correct though:
"Funny you mention that. Manufacturers are required under federal trade laws to warranty their product to the purchaser for a specified period of time. This is protect consumers.
Factory warranties are not designed to "protect dealers"
I have seen many companies claim the "must be purchased by an authorized dealer for warranty stuff" but when push comes to shove, it does not trump federal law as long as terms stated on the warranty card are upheld by the consumer.
I know manufacturers try to protect their distributers and retails, as the should but this should not be done at the expense of the consumer.
I have contacted many major vendors (Samsung, Hitachi, Sony, etc) regarding internet sales and warranty...each one of them told me that they would honor the product warranty, with proof of purchase."
