Anybody else having major money problems?

Meh. I've just been cutting back on the things I don't need.
AKA my cable, which I need to call and cancel soon.
At least you had cable.

Moving into this house.

Looking at a month or two with nothing but the minifridge and a griddle. I would rather use that crap for a month the go out and buy appliances and furniture.

Wow...being at my house is going to **** for a while.

Not an issue with job or job security...just the price of things without real alternatives.

So you bought that house you were looking at then?

I feel like im back in the 1930's to 1940's .. Stock market crashing, Money Problems, and the whole economy going down the shitter ..

Not even close. Go talk to your grandpa about what it was really like.

Yep times are pretty bad right now. I work in the Loss Prevention field and earlier today one of the guards caught a guy syphoning some gas out of one of the associates cars. Funny thing is, that it was another employee that works here.

Such a shame. Me and my family do ok and I have some money in the bank, but saving for a house. Thing is I will have the money for a lot of it, but will have to finace the rest. So wonder if my credit will be up to par by then.

like i said ill be much happier when i get my 2 credit cards paid off and dont have to worry about them. IVe been late twice on my credit card payments due to not having a steady job and i care about my credit and am trying not to let it go to shit. I got my credit inform papers today and my credit dropped from a 658 to a 640. I dont want it going any lower.

Yes. From shower curtains to brooms to spices. There are about 1,000 things I need. I never knew how many things my parents provided that one really needs when living out on their own. I see these 16 year olds talk about how the pay their own bills. I wonder how many sets of dishes, or pots/pans these suckers bought. I have nothing. A rude awakening of the benefits of living at home. I don't even have a vaccum cleaner.

Depends. My grandparents were equally poor up until the 1950s. A whole generation of my family did not increase real wage, livlihood, anything. Farmed the land as their parents did. I guess that was a time where one could seperate themselves from the economy.

I'll get by. I just hate the idea of having less than $2,000 in savings. For about a month, I will have around $1,200 or so. I will "live" at home but still stay at my parents while I can acquire things like mops, silverware, rugs, etc. I have access to credit, but rather not use it until everything else is in place. The whole transition will take a couple months.

I've lived on my own for 4 years now. It was great to have my parents help me with the original essentials.

But, when you live at home you take a lot of things for granted. New cloths, electric, rent, Cable, Internet, food, etc etc.

My brother lives at home still, and I doubt he will ever leave. Sometimes I think he is the smart of the two of us.

I need a steadt job making $500+ a week to have any money worth mentioning in savings. I currently have $55. Your worrying about $1200 while i have $50 lol... i dont live on my own yet though

I think they are going to get me a gift card from Lowe's. Some of the other things I will get from yard sales. No idea about blinds....it makes me sick to think of all the things. The utilitiy bills I expected. If you call the electric company, they will give you a rundown of the last 12 months of electric costs, which is cool because I am able to budget them. What is killing me is these unexpected costs that never show up in a budget, like soap and toothpaste, towels, detergent.
