any worries when EBAY buying?

i got the crossfire cfa-142 off ebay for 42.21 and then i got a flip down clarion tv off ebay for $20.00 but with shippin it was like 44.20

about 80% of my system is from ebay. never had problem. just make sure you get it from a seller who has a 100% feedback rating. try to avoid "as-is" auctions and sellers who only accept cash, checks, or money orders.

i've been screwed more times off Ebay than on it, to be honest...
so I'd feel free to do business there.

Always pay with a credit card.

PayPal buyer protection is worthless, unless you send payment and the seller never contacts you. You can always dispute a credit card charge.
I myself have over 100 ebay purchases (RC Cars, Tools, X-Mas presents, etc.) and 60 sales and have always had things work out for the best.

My subs and amps came from eBay...BRAND NEW...no problem only spent 30% the cost. Try buying from the eBay stores though. Less chance of getting ripped...still a chance...just less of a chance.

Lol this isnt ebay but i saw this and thought of a local dealer here.

Around here you dont pay local dealers with Credit Cards or Checks because they have been known to take your check, and in 2 weeks later or so your shit is stolen. 2 of my friends have had this done to them and they were both stolen exactly 2 weeks after they were purchased from the store..... so local shops arent always what they seem.

Seeing as how the only shops I go to are in Fort Wayne (I live about 20 miles north of Ft. Wayne), and I have pretty good relationships with all of them, I was curious as to which shops you were talking about? D & B Sales, Classic Stereo?

FYI - Oil change shops are places where they have your address info, and if you have something nice they may come and get it. I had a friend who managed a Pit Pros oil shop. One of his guys would take note of any car that came in with Blau gear, and he would make note of the owners address, and supply that info to a " Friend ".

Something I wanted to mention for sure regarding Ebay purchases and especially From these MEGA EBAY Car Audio Retailers. I have spent alot of time looking at thier feedback..With some of these guys it is obvious that the SAME complaints from Numerous diffrent customers show a pattern. I rarely worry about the "Slow Shipping" complaints..It's the "DOA" or "not item listed" or "Item not new Refurbished" that scares me.

But one thing I have noticed that is no Coincidence is that these companies feel free to Screw buyers with a low amount of feedback ratings, then they use the excuse that the customer is a "newbie" in the reply to justify screwing the customer. Take a look for yourself..95% of the Customers complaining have less than 10 feedbacks..almost 100% of people who are satisfied are in the 100+ feedback amount..It's an interesting tactic. But these retailers seem to be intimidated to Screw you if you have a good EBAY reputation.

So if you are new to EBAY..beware of those Retailers..use an Ebay account that has alot of feedbacks

thats why you do all your own oil changes, and if you do get one, you give them a fake address..
