any wonna help out a newbie?

Hey everyone I've got about $1000 set aside to upgrade my cars audio. I've been shopping around for a few weeks now and am so overwhelmed I can't settle on anything. I really just want to get something ordered and on its way but with all the products and info out there I can't settle on anything. I want to do the installation myself to save $$ and because i like doing things myself. I am fairly competent at working with electronics doing wiring/soldering/basic circuit design and building things.

Basically I'm wondering if someone on here who knows their stuff could help me out with designing a system for my car (99 honda civic). I preferably want to order everything from etronics.com , they have a fairly large selection. I want to use them because they are very cheap and local...and i've had very good experience with them in the past.

Etronics is a good place to shop I have bought two different sets of subs from them and they have real fast shipping.

Are you looking for an overhaul of your system or just a few items like a deck and subs?

overhaul, but i don't need a new headunit, i have a pioneer p7500mp in there.

And I consider the stock rear speakers good enough to leave back there if the money could be better spent elsewhere.

I listen to mostly metal/hard rock and want good clean fullrange sound with some powerful bass filling it in

you could do some good things with a grand hell i did alright and i only have $197 wraped up into my WHOLE system

stock pioneer head unit (Free lol well actually 240 a month til 2009 ha)

pioneer 3 way door speakers (60 bucks)

profile 400sx refurb (50 bucks shipped)

Infinity reference 1030 (52 bucks shipped)

custom box (15 bucks)

wiring (20 bucks)

But for a grand id say

2 12" l7's or the 12" hifonics subs (450-600 depending on where you get them)

1 or 2 of the profile 960x1rms amps depends on how loud you wanna be (150)

a set of components (about 200 bucks) or just 3 ways

Profile amp for the speakers (refurb for around 65 bucks)

tada your system n it will be LOUD
