Any way to tell sub quickness?

I mean with the specs like T/S Parameters and such

i am asking this because i have cvx 10's and they seem really sloppy when i listen to metallica and stuff with quick double bass and rythm

i am getting new 10's but would like to know which would perform better for this stuff between the TC-7, RE SE, SSD

Look up how they did at the track on the 1/4 mile.

It's the t/s parameter "QM" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

could it be if im not giving them enough power?

they are my bros old ones and he bought them not knowing he needed dual 4 to wire to 1 ohm so he bought dual 2s and i have them wired to 2 ohm only 300w a piece where as they would have got 550 a piece at 1 ohm

oh and they are in a sealed box .85 a piece

i mean that it seems like they cant keep up with the kickpedal in the double bass and instead of clearly hearing every kick you just hear kind of a mess of kicks

punch the subs in the fckin face and be like ***** you best be keepin up with those kick drums niigggaaaaaaaaaaa....

that works for me at least worth a try GL

If your mid bass can't keep up with your sub bass. It will sound like ass. It doesn't matter if its a $500 forum boner sub or a Wal-Mart beater.

Disclaimer: *I haven't found any evidence to support this idea.* //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

I have found that drivers with an extremely high Vas (a bit over 100L for a 10") value in small-ish sealed enclosures and a lot of power seem to sound "quicker/tighter/punchier" whatever you want to call it.

well i have come to the conclusion that it is the box that is not the right size and the kickers only having 300 watts my brother gave it to me for free so i guess i can't complain

I had two of the Xtreme 12's and they were dual 4ohm. They read at like 3.5ohm per voice coil which is common.
