OK I am interested in learning how to take subs apart, fix them, and putting parts from other subs in. But im pretty much a noob when it comes to this, and Im sure some other people might be interested. I seen the reconing thread, but can someone break down what each part of the sub is, etc? Maybe get a collection of tutorials goin on soon?

you call a manufacturer of speakers. like resonant engineering, soundsplinter, ascendant audio, atomic, digitial designs, incriminator audio, ect - and ask them if they can recone your [insert speaker brand\model] to something else.

usually, you only do this if you have a speaker that the origional manufacturer will not fix, and if they will - it will cost more than you are willing to pay, and a competitor (like i listed above) will do it for cheaper.

as far as doing it yourself? first you need to be able to get the parts (wich is not an easy thing)

heres a good tutorial (click the link and click each picture down the line)
