cheap subs

my friend wants either one 12 or 2 10's and an amp for around 200 dollars. i already kinda know what amp to get but not the subs. he basically just wants bass, so spl subs. i really am not familar with sub brands other than the highly priced ones so my question is what sub/subs would be best for around 60 each or 120 for a 12. remember sq is not a factor. thanks alot.

Ascendant Audio Assasins are 75 for the 12 and 55 for the ten....I Have a couple 8s in my room (45 each) playing right now and they sound great and can get loud with enough power....
