Any tips on door pods?

Im making some doorpods for my Expedition hopefully in the next couple of days. Ive got the speakers and supplies. They will house 2 6.5" coaxials each ran off of a RF3002. Ive already started just havent fleeced and resined yet.

This is getting cut out and mounted onto the wooden panel in the first picture. I will then fleece and resin it to make doorpods for my 6.5s

Its getting moved into the back door, and Ill make some kind of custom panel to cover that.

Hopefully Ill have the mounting frames mounted tomorrow fleeced. I have to change some tires out as well, but I think Ill end up doing my doors first.

just make sure you use enough resin and glass on that thing i built one for 4 6.5s on my door and i didnt think it needed alot of resin so i did a nice coat and then a light 2nd coat and that was it, well it held up about 3 weeks before it was broke and the glass gave way to the shuting of the door, made the passenger side much better and its been 5 months and still strong

That plate is getting mounted to the door with a 1.5" spacer between the speakers. Im then going to stretch the fleece over it and resin and maybe glass it, depends on the strength needed.

If you meant the hole in the door where the 5x7 is, I havent completely decided yet.
