any thoughts on QPOWER subs? 800rms, 3" vc, good reviews $92

I'd like to have a dd 3500 but this FU750 looks awesome 20mm xmax too, OR sundown e (but was told to look at CAB., NICE) so which would be louder and sound better and last longer (playing a whopping 30 mins a week) with 500 rms 1.8 cu ft ad box (in case I keep it) and maybe get a 100 more watts later..
all those subs will laugh at 500 for a good while but still get decently loud. You will barely see them move though. Not until you put around double rated power.

those planet audio subs are beyond junk. All plastic no motor.

yeah they heavy for 500rms or 750 ratings.. any of u had sundown amps? they have 600d looks nice, with that power ported, those subs should break in after few months move better.. like I said I gotta sell my other stuff 1st but peeps be getting taxes back soon so shouldn't be hard I've sold equipment to 25% of the peeps in town under 50 over past 12 yrs., I also got a decent dual 12 ported box tuned at 40hz I had built (no carpet) I like to sell for $80 but I can't ship it anywhere..

for the price of a sundown 600 you could get a CAB 1600.1 or audiopipe acpcl 1800.1

Makes no sense paying 220 for 600 watts.

When you upgrade, do an upgrade thats a real upgrade, not small incremental upgrades thats a complete waste of money.

yeah but I was thinking of getting nice brand equipment based on what everyone here says but I don't want more than maybe 700rms at 2 ohm (don't have dimming lites now don't want them) if I got better sub d2 I could get my old crossfire back for ($30 + my autotek trade I think I can) bridge it (tested at like 715 rms 14.4v) if I got something like that I'd get the 1000 or 1300 maybe for $100 don't need 1200rms at 2 ohm..

or even the ppi650 but man that cab amp is awesome for $199 u r right, but I'd have to run some of these amps at 4 ohm, and the cab 12 (below the ultra) has 3"vc and is even cheaper.. that's what I'd like to try..

Its cheaper but its only slightly cheaper but its less than half the beefiness with way less motorforce and less efficient design. 3 inch coil without a motor to back it up doesnt mean anything, just more mms, less efficiency less loudness capabilities. You need to realize the possibility of what a 50lb sub can do lol.

Just get a big amp run at 1ohm and be done with it. Messing around with all these 600 watt amps arent gonna get you anywhere. Lights diming can be solved with the big 3 and adding Hids headlights to your car. Time for you to flex some windshields and do some paper tricks gramps. Feel what real lows truely is.

So u saying fu or sundown? man I really like that cab 12 look very good and the cab amp does 694 at 4 ohms wouldn't that be enough?, that way amp will have plenty of power to spare.. I am gonna upgrade wires but Idk when gotta disabled bro in law I have to re start taking care of next week forever... I'm actually happy with my sub and amp now just sub is old may break at any time no warranty and well amp just isn't good brand I'm hitting about 139 db (guess) don't want 149 just maybe 142.. wish they had cab 300 that did 700 at 2 ohms hate to run it at 4 waste all that power but for the $ it's hard to beat and built like a tank (it looks anyway)..

if you wire to 4 ohms, your box rise will be around 8 ohms and the sub will see at most 200 watts.

If you wire the CAB down to 1 ohm, you'll see 2 ohm ratings. Its physics gramps If you ever compete and clamp your system for actual real world power, thats how EVERY sub setup is like. Thats why you have soo many people running double the sub's RMS, its not that the sub is that good, its because box rise severely limits actual real world power..

Thats why i'm running 30k watts of amps to four 4k rms subs. because after rise, they would see rated power.

This is a new dynamic for you gramps, get with the program and learn about box rise. Thats why no one in their right minds here recommended 2 or 4 ohm wiring to you. Thats basically where you will be at wired to 1 ohm.

WOW that's a horrible loss of power 694 to 200., so if I ran at 2ohm (cab amp 1200rms) u saying I may get like 500 rms but if that's true my sub now is only getting like 100rms and it sounds good so 200 or 500 would be much more to sub than I have now.., also amp is much better built..

I saw a sundown e 12 b stock for $97 but I like the cab just don't understand y the cheaper one has 3" vc and ultra has 2.5" vc weird right?

the main deal is efficiency. Bigger coil, more MMS, less efficiency, less loud most of the times. Unless you want a power dump for not much loudness then feel free.

But yes your sub is getting that loud off a few hundred watts. thats the magic of enclosures. You'd be surprised how little power you really need to make noise. However most of the guys on here have much higher expectations of setups. kinda like "If you arent breaking at least 140 db, you aint living the life"

I always say the box is king... yeah I aint trying to kill my car or break windows,.. MMS IS 187 on cab 151 on ultra (ORION IS 226) (so lighter is better if I don't have ton of power?) I just like the look of cab stuff wish they had a 800.1............. In fact just today I turned box around facing windshield and I swear it gained about 2 db and cut out 80% of truck, spoiler rattle, tried that b4 with sealed didn't work.. years ago I had 3 hifonics 10's (honey comb cones) sealed with atlantis amp 1 ohm (600rms) rear view mirror fell off in my wifes lap PLAYING DIXIE CHICKS I swear.. so don't want much louder than that, my spoiler was $550 don't wanta crack it lol..
