You mean txl?

Never heard one, but im leery of a sub of that price point that only has 16mm xmax and only a modest BL.

Its also an odd coil size so you might be limited on recones in the future.

Id personally rather do an hdc3 if im spending 300 new

I had one txl 12 in my is300. It got down pretty good but after a month or 2 the leads burned out. A lot of people are having that problem and there is no recone kit for it yet. I ended up buying a zvx 15 and have had it for 6 months or so with no problems

Clipping or whatever...??

Wonder why the company/Kevin hasn't pulled the plug/recall them if people are having issues with tinsel leads burning up.

Only a few reasons comes to mind that tinsel leads burn up: Too much power, clipping and maybe poor quality tinsel leads. Or could be too small for that sub.

OP, your better off getting a diff brand. Skar has a history of bad business and other people know about it.

Sub looks too identical to that of Sundown Audio.
