Agreed. No Nitrous for me. I would rather have a car that goes fast without nitrous, than a car that goes fast with nitrous.

Don't get me wrong WB, the GN was a decent production car. I like muclecars as much as the next guy, but it's just so hard to find one in good enough shape to buy. I don't have the time it takes to deck one out. With a new car I can. I can't afford a Viper or anything in that range. I'm an all american type of guy, except when it comes to vehicles. I'm sure if you were in the passenger seat of my old car, you wouldn't feel that way about rice burners.

I hate rice burners. I can deal with completley decked out Civics, but not the guys who just throw on an obnoxious wing, stickers, and a 6" exhaust tip and think they are fast without doing any engine mods. And no, cutting your springs in half isnt the safe way to lower and stickers dont produce more hp.

I dont want to create any enemies, but I just dont like the guys who throw a 6" tip and a wing on their car and they think its fast. It just doesnt work that way. If this topic needs to be discussed more, feel free to send me an IM on MSN or AOL(addy's are below) Please do not reply if you are going to create a huge argument. I have had arguments in the past and once at a car show a guy seen my car and remembered it from pics on the net and took his key and gauged it up....just because he was one of the guys that fit my description of a burner.

ya i drive a german car but im all for american cars id take a nice mustang over any civic or somthin

The 1987 Buick GNX was ultimate car in the late 80's. I would be ashamed if I worked for Buick when they took that car off the line. That was one of the fastest off the line factory car! The '87 GNX had more than 275 hp. I had around 350-400 stock. The regular '87 Grand National had 275hp. My dad had a 1984 Grand National. They were not that reliable of a car because of the o2 sensors and shit. They didnt have no Intercooler until '87.

ss, I totally agree with you. The High School kids who put some ground effects and a spoiler that pull up beside me wanting to hit it make me want to puke all over them. Just like the 16 yr old with the 1985 Ford Taurus, but a $3000 system inside with his eight friends cruisin for chix at your local spot. BUT, the true speed freaks will try to tweak out a lawnmower, the burners are just another type of toy to experiment with. After years of working on Mustangs and Chevy's, I got bored and after a night of racing my buddies 300 ZX in 1991, I was hooked on the imports. You don't have to like them but you should respect the creative ingenuity of the serious racers, after all it all comes down to speed in the end, right. Don't worry about me getting pissed at you, I'm totally not like that, plus I'm a well-oiled cog in the best Air Force in the world------ours.

ill give them that (respect) but you can do just as much to a bigger engine in an american car my freinds uncle has a 93 mustang 800 hp. and it would any imports as* in town anyway

Oh yeah I agree!!! Believe me, I am a Camaro(and all muscle cars) FANATIC, lol, but I have just recently worked on many imports and have almost, sort of found a small passion for a completley decked out Civic or something. Thats coming from a guy who traveled to the next town to get my drivers liscence because the car I wouldve had to take it in was an Accord

Come on now man, that much HP would throw the rear end right out its a** if it was street legal. Uncontrollable at any speed. Unless the torque is under 450, which I doubt.

Oh and I really respect the serious guys who spend lots of $ on their import. I have seen many rides that are very sweet and I totally respect the guys who take the time to deck out their rides like that

If any of you guys are in Denver on 20 July, there is an import/sound show at Park Meadows mall, my car should be finished by then. It'll be a black/silver shadowing Eclipse with a clear hood(just for the show). yes nos is a lil to risky for me. bone stock eclipse rs. lol slow as hell. but anyway. i would much rather have a turbo or a supercharger. but no one makes superchargers for the eclipse. they make them for honda's why not mitsis' also i like the idea that i dont have to put 800 hp to go fast b/c of the weight difference. i like a light quick car. but it is hard for me to be quick with 140 hp and 60lbs of audio in the back
