People who say 9's are weak are both mis-informed and obviously not experienced.
You can/will do the appropriate amount of damage with a 9. Sure a Desert Eagle will do more damage, however when you balance out the aspects of carrying a firearm with you all day long (for those of us with CHL) for the majority of folks, a 9 will do the trick.

you're right... however, i think the majority of the folks that say 9mm's are weak are comparing the acutal ballistics of the round and how much more damage a higher caliber round can do.

i personally chose a .40 for ccw and home protection. my wife has a 9mm for ccw and home protection.

Around home, I go for XD-40 which is a 40 cal with one mag of hydrashox and one of FMJ's...

For outside, I carry either the XD-9 sub if I can conceal ok or if I am in dress pants, I slide a KelTec P3AT in a K&N leather pocket holster which keeps the firearm upright.

Second - If you are going to go after custody, start saving your money, it is gonna be costly. My lawyers rate is $150 an hour, but it is worth every penny to get your child away from that environment.

Third - Let the dude who assaulted you know that it won't happen again, next time he pulls this stuff, he will have the past on record, so chances are when he starts up again and you lay it on him, your self defense claim will stick and you will walk away with nothing but a set of bloody knuckles (and "enlighten" him discreetly).

well....i dont have to worry about the money thing w/ my attorney...he's a friend of my dads so i pay him what i can when i can...hell of a deal there.......

well i told the guy after he did the stuff...he came and appologised to me....i told him then and there that i lost all respect i had for him and that if he ever disrespected me like that in front of my son again i wont hesitate to put his *** in the hospital......and my son is 2 yrs old.....

Good to hear you're finding the info that you need. I can not fill in any gaps as far as the political process.

As far as weaponry goes, a 9 millimeter pistol isn't exactly a pinnacle of human stopping power. In fact, listening to stories from Iraq, they're pretty weak (Example, one soldier survived a headshot after his cheekbone stopped the bullet). If you're deadset on carrying a weapon, you'll want something with a little more power.

this is kind of on topic in a way, but my friend told me that if there was a situation and a police is over there you cant just go up to him and touch his shoulder or be buddy buddy with the cop cuz he said that the cop will say it was assult, dunno if this is true

it's probably because the military doesn't exactly use the best round out there... i know this because i am in the military. anyhow, if you take a 147gr +p 9mm golden saber, gold dot, hydrashock, or a ranger and put 1 or 2 in the head, i guarantee that person will fold.
