well im wondering what the normal process is when you file assult charges against someone.......i've already made the initial charges and have a case open and am in contact w/ the detective that is handling it....jus curious as to what i should expect now?

well the story is....the guy is my ex wife's fiance....jus over a month ago he got drunk and assulted me (felony assult w/ a bodily fluid(spit in my face) and he kicked me when i got in my car both while i was holding my son)....i was gonna be the bigger person and let it go since my son was there and i was wanting thigns to be civil between my ex and me.....well....she's finally pissed me off....and im tired of jus giving in....so i filed charges....ohh....and if you've seen me and you've seen him....you would laugh at someone being that stupid as to assult me.....he's a small skinny guy.....

how long has it been since the incident your pressin charges for against him? Is there some deal where if its so long you can't do anything? Im not sure, it's just a question I had. Now why is it that your pressing charges on him finally, because your ex-wife made you mad? I understand why you would at the time, because the occurance, but waiting until someone else made you mad? I'm just asking, not trying to start something.

i could see someone to be low enough to spit on someone/hit them, but to bring the child into the situation is all the worse. If someone were to **** with a child of mine (thank god i dont have any...yet) I would take it into my own account and make sure he never walked right again.......or breath period for that matter.
