If you are looking to build a track car you should go with the Notchbacks, they are stronger and lighter than the GT or LX hatchbacks, all the things you want when you build a track car

ACtually, in the 05+'s, it isn't the transmission that sucks, it's that crap-assed hydraulic clutch. It won't release fast enough to power shift properly. But, add the MGW shifter to it and it gets the job done quite nicely. It's a shame that car was so ****ed heavy, but it was an absolute blast to drive.

Matter of fact, anyone want a Scoshe enclosure for the 05+? I still have mine that I'll part with cheap. I don't wanna just toss it or anything, but I'll certainly cut a deal on it to get it out of my garage.

I had one of the very first MGW's, from the "beta" run of them. After George sent me the different bushings, it was smooth as butter, and dead quiet, which was a huge upgrade over stock. I used the stock handle for "stealth" purposes. Man, I should've pulled all that stuff when I traded the car.

haha^^...got one. wish it was more. V6 auto sucks. but it was the mom's old car...i would have rather bought a 5.0 notch stick, but a free car is a free car and it is in good condition so i can't complain. i've done a few things to it (most money spent on audio, this will be my 2nd system in it when i finish it).
