Any Idea why this would happen?

I recently bought a JVC 2din 7in screen. The sound works fine when it is on the radio but it doesnt work at all for CD or DVD. any idea why this would happen? could it be just a setting..or something internal?

maybe your remote wire is on the power ant. wire instead of the remote lead. my kenwood did this, and i was gonna take it to the shop. i called kenwood before i did, and they told me to try "the other blue wire" and i was like DOH!!

apparently the wires on my harness are labeled wrong. but problem solved.
