so i have a Pioneer head unit (dont know the model off top but its a double din an changes colors). i have 6 gauge wiring running to my system which consists of a 900W Pioneer amp and a 1300W Pioneer 12" sub. also connected is a 1 farad capacitor.
i enjoyed my system, which knocked pretty hard and crisp, for about 3 months.. then about a week ago I was driving down the street and the bass stopped. after turning it down to about 35 volume the bass kicked back on. now thats all i can do is listen to it barely hit. if i turn it up at all it cuts out.. even at high levels it only cuts out when the bass drops.. when the next bass drop goes to hit, it tries to push it out before it just quits..
NO protection light comes on
NO the amp doesnt turn off..
capacitor reads 13.5 volts while car is running..
its not over heating because it does it even after the car sat all night
ive checked all wiring.. even inside the box behind the sub.. everything is fine.. i dont get why it worked fine for months before quitting.. any ideas?
