Any Electricians? Need help on doorbell.

Alright, usually you will have a button and chime. Sometimes two buttons.

There is two chimes and two buttons.

There is a cat-5 from each chime to a button, and another connecting the two.

How do you get each button to make them both ring at the same time?

I only do a little electrical work but ^ should work

When you wire it you should use different color twisted pairs, the cat 5 should have blue, orange, brown, and green. For example use the blue and blue white for one bell and use the orange and orange white for the other

The closest one I found on there was a bell and buzzer with two buttons. Will another chime wire up just like a buzzer? Also there are three screws on the chimes,

Front Transformer Back

That pic only shows two screws.. See if we can get anymore help.

The chimes are the two squares with the three circles, the circles are screws that are labeled front, transformer, and back (left to right)

The transformer is behind one of the chimes in a 2 gang box.

Thanks! The boss has to come out tom to help us out on it, and it might get me a raise if I jump up there and do it before he gets there. None of us could figure it out nor could our lead guy.

edit- may not have made sense, the chime sits over the 2 gang box and is screwed in, sitting on the wall. The transformer is behind it inside the box along with the 120v wires.

For some reason it wont let me do color on your image but I am sure the power, neutral and ground wires are labeled. If they are not the green screw is the ground and the gold screw should be power and silver typically is neutral

I would get a second opinion, because I am not 100% sure I am understanding but I tried. Sorry I can't give you a for sure answer

What have you guys tried?

Well on the ones with a single button and single chime, you run a wire from the button to the chime that says front. You run a wire from the button the the transformer and then on the other screw on the transformer you run it to the chime labled transformer. The 120v is all hooked up to the transformer with wire nuts and then it has two screws for use of the cat-5 (low volt) wire.

I believe we tried with both buttons, one wire to transformer and on the other screw on the transformer we went to the chime transformer screw. Then a wire from the front button to the front screw on the chime and the back button to the back screw on chime.

Then with the wire connecting the chimes together we tied one one the transformer side to the second chime on transformer and on the wire to the rear screw to the second chime on rear screw. I know this dont make sense I **** at explaining, we tried all kinds of shit and its not working.

All we could do was get the front button to work both chimes and the back button do nothing.
